Childhood Development Center
Its teachers hold early education degrees and certifications, many of which are from the program, because CDC is a place to work for students in early childhood education. “We have a high-quality childcare program with enthusiastic teachers who encourage interaction and creativity in a curriculum that includes math, science, art and music,” Menton said. “And we benefit from being on campus to be able to engage kids in different programs.”

Gold Star: In 2014, the staff at the College’s Child Development Center earned a Gold Quality Ring through Accelerate Illinois, the state’s quality rating and quality improvement system for early learning and development programs. The Golden Circle of Quality represents CDC’s commitment to excellence in providing children with comprehensive care and a better learning experience. The first 5 years of a child’s life are important and child care is essential. We provide a rich, social, supportive, school-centered environment for young children and an educational environment designed for students, the age of child care professionals. Our certified facilities and excellent caregiver to child ratio (plus instructors) are excellent. Children who participate in preschool/childcare programs are better prepared for future learning—the classroom and college or university. Our program cares for infants, toddlers and toddlers (up to 6 years old). # Licenses: 334809484 and 330908047

Child Development Center
The Child Development Laboratory School (CDLS) is a learning resource for many academic disciplines such as early childhood education, psychology, social work, nursing, and dentistry. We offer young children activities that encourage a range of academic and early developmental skills and strive to promote diverse understanding through authenticity. Children can move from one center to another at their own pace as they prepare for college, according to their needs.
Everyone loves a story – we encourage early writing skills, left-to-right writing skills, language development, production, vocabulary expansion, and literacy strategies.
As young children go through developmental stages, the ability to refine and understand the performance of fine motor skills is an important part that emerges over time.
There are many forms of creative expression and it is important to appreciate what surrounds them, including the imagination, wonder and beauty of nature.
Child Development Musts For Your Kids
Role-playing, “trying things out,” social development, symbolic play, creative play, and imagination help children make sense of situations and prepare for interactions that will find their place in the future.
Playing with blocks is clever, but there is also a lot of trial and error that develops spatial awareness, understanding of cause and effect, mapping and physical objects.
Some children are quick, while others benefit from a quiet place where they can go to meditate and relax.
Fresh air is important. The game is important. Together they create the perfect environment for motorcycle development, exploration, collaboration and appreciation of nature.
How Community Based Early Childhood Programs Can Impact Child Development
Music stimulates different parts of the brain while developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, stamina, rhythm, culture and variety.
We take pride in what we do, helping young children grow in a safe environment that parents can truly trust. To demonstrate our excellence, we are audited and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and have received the highest 5-star rating from the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE).
Validation and revalidation require a lot of effort. Our staff evaluates work, completes training/online courses and individual assessment. Our facilities are also inspected to ensure that our environment, accessibility and daily activities meet our highest standards. The warranty is good for 5 years. Each year NAEYC randomly inspects 10% of accredited programs.
In partnership with First 5 Riverside, the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) will conduct the evaluation using the Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) – a statewide approach to identifying and supporting children’s programs. They focus on the child’s developmental process and how children are prepared for school, teachers/instructional methods, and program/environment (group ratio/size, environmental rating scales, and learning skills).

Choosing the right environment for your child is important. Proximity, environment, philosophy and many other factors play a role in your decision. Take your time and decide what is right for you, your child and your family. The National Association for the Education of Young Children has great information to help you figure it out. Three-year-olds are easily surprised. For example, I like someone who likes Toy Story or has brown eyes. But parents are different. Buzz Lightyear is enough for parents to trust someone, especially if that person is watching over their child. Talking to Daniel Preston, it’s easy to see why so many parents love him. As director of the Happy Tree Child Development Center in Carrollton, Danielle’s job is to make her young charges and their parents happy.
Daniel’s mother, Frances Goff, started Happy Tree in 1989 out of an apartment building in North Dallas. As one of nineteen children and the only one to complete his education, Francis was passionate about helping young people. Happy Tree Child Care Center, located at 3225 Bellmead Drive in Carrollton, offers child care services from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. From Monday to Friday for children six weeks to five years old.
“When you walk through the doors, you feel at home,” Daniel said. “From the friendliness of the staff to the home-cooked meals we serve our children, we truly believe that children feel this school is a home from home.”
Happy Tree Child Development Center is known for providing care and education to children in a clean and safe environment. The school offers three main curriculums: children six weeks to 18 months, children 18 months to two and a half years, and pre-K children from three to five years. Prices range from $325 to $385 per week for regular care.

In kindergarten, teachers create a program that meets the unique needs of each child and provides an environment for all children to learn, play and relax. Children’s rooms are designed to strengthen children’s cognitive, language, social and motor skills. At this age children are taught outdoor play, arts and crafts, role playing, less structure and more time to learn.
