The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) is the UK’s national charity for the experiences of pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. Previously NCT used a legacy system to manage its CRM and financial processes. Realizing that it could not support them in the future, they decided to find another solution.

After considering several options, the NCT team decided to go with Salesforce. They chose Pay Up as a payment solution because it allows them to receive, process and reconcile payments quickly and easily in Salesforce.

“It’s a great choice because it offers incredible direct debit and gift aid functionality and the ability to manage online payments for NCT,” said Hannah Cook, NCT’s director of finance and planning.

Salesforce NCD and the first phase of the project are to support these paid courses. The NCT is funded through service fees, publicly funded work, corporate and membership contributions and other donations. Most of her income comes from her very popular prenatal and postnatal support courses.

NCT processes approximately 35,000 course-related transactions each year – a quarter of which are paid in installments. One thing the NCT must consider is the wider cost of parenting, particularly the cost of a life crisis. One solution is to provide tuition fees in installments to reduce the burden on the family.

“We want to continue to offer other payment options, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, to support parents and take advantage of their ease of use. If someone wants to pay, they can pay as they like. to give

NCT uses Worldpay in Salesforce to manage course payments. Teams have complete visibility into course performance and when payments are made. Because the data is standardized in Salesforce, it can also be used in reports and dashboards and workflows – meaning you can set up automation to alert team members when something is wrong with a payment.

“Our finance team has to check regularly to make sure payments haven’t been blocked. Send us an alert through WorldPay, which allows us to easily check payments and make sure they’re happening. The team makes it easy to manage,” Hanna explained.

NCT currently provides direct debit and gift aid management through Salesforce. This will allow them to further simplify payment related processes and move closer to a single system solution.

“We partnered with PACS to build our direct debit infrastructure,” Hanna said. “The customer success team has been a great partner in this and has been very responsive to our requests.”

NTC will also begin using the instruction matching tool in the coming months to ensure that incoming bank instructions and files are correctly matched to Salesforce data.

NCT’s mission is much bigger than fundraising – it creates a network of knowledgeable parents committed to helping and guiding new parents and easing the transition to parenthood.

“While we are involved in many ways with our organization, our goal is to understand how parents interact. We want to provide support and give them a better experience,” Hanna explained. Hannah explained. We believe.”

While NCT’s journey with Salesforce is still in its early stages, NCT is happy to have a partner that can grow with them in the future and help them achieve their mission goals.
